SETAPP is a new way to buy software for your Mac. You pay $9.99 per month, and get access to more than 70 curated Mac apps, and Studies is now one of the apps available to SETAPP customers. You don't have to pay for upgrades, and there are no other costs. A flat rate subscription gives you full usage of the apps, and they will be automatically kept up-to-date. There is a one month free trial, so give it a try!
If you have been holding out to upgrade to Studies for Mac, now is a great time to do it. Studies for Mac is currently 30% off the normal price in the Mac App Store ($19.99US).
If you are a Mental Case user, Studies will offer you the choice to migrate all of your existing data when you first launch. Your Mental Case data will remain intact too, so you can easily return to that app should it be needed.
With the new school year just starting, and Studies for iOS a free download, there is no better time to upgrade to Studies.
Tim Cook meets the Studies app team.
A couple of months ago, we released Studies for Mac, and now it is the turn of iOS. Studies for iOS is available now in the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and what's more, it is completely free!
To celebrate the release, Studies for Mac is also on sale for 50% off the normal price (sale price is $19.99US) in the Mac App Store. There is no better time to move to Studies.
The app that Studies supplants, Mental Case, will remain available for a while in the App Stores. This is to allow us to offer bug fixes for existing customers.
You can migrate your data from Mental Case to Studies when you first launch the app. Your original Mental Case data remains unchanged.
We really hope you enjoy Studies and that it helps you achieve things you never thought within your grasp.
The app formerly known as Mental Case has finally moved on to bigger and better things — Studies 1.0 is now available in the Mac App Store.
From a distance, it may not have seemed like much was happening to Mental Case, but the truth lay elsewhere. We have been working on Studies for somewhere between 18 months and 2 years. The whole app has been overhauled, the UI refreshed, and the pain points — *cough* nobody mention 'sync' — addressed. Studies for OS X is an app we are proud of.
And, of course, we are working on the iOS app. Two major updates at once was just too much, so we decided on a controlled release, first for the Mac, and following in the not too distant future with an iOS app. The two will sync up via iCloud, and many of the same improvements in the Mac app will also come to iOS.
Mental Case will remain available for a while in the Mac App Store. This is to allow us to offer bug fixes for existing customers, as well as support those who cannot live without an iOS app until Studies for iOS is available.
If you're a Mental Case user from way back, thank you for the support over the years, and — new customer or old — we really hope you enjoy Studies and that it helps you achieve things you never thought within your grasp.
